748 fault

Does anyone have experience of this fault:
At idle the bike (2002 748) only runs on the rear cylinder, as soon as the revs get to around 2500 rpm the front cylinder chimes in.
I have a couple of ideas, some worse than others, but I thought I’d ask before diving in, especially if it’s my worst case scenario.
Thanks
Stu

Have you checked the obvious items like ht leads (and associated electricals) and spark plugs?

Process of elimination I’m afraid but generally the only way.

Yes, I’ve done the simple and more obvious, I’m puzzled why it’s only at low revs, I’m concerned it could be a valve spring giving loss of compression.

A compression test next id say
Pretty straight forward to do

That one is on my to do list, thanks though

Hi . Did you fix your problem ?
