I had a small win today. I hope this may help other 749/999 owners The bike had started blowing the 20A stoplight, horn, passing light fuse, this triggers the ecu light and throws error code 19.2 which is the starter relay short to ground. This disables the starting circuit from the ecu so until the fuse was replaced the bike wouldn’t run. Exhaustive wiring diagram consultation led me to the rear stoplight circuit and inspection of the leads where they exit the tube under the back of the muffler revealed a chafed lead adjacent to the rear light connector - bike now has lost its appetite for 20A fuses - result!
