I’ve just bought another Ducati to complement my 1200 monster. It’s a very early 749S in yellow. It’s got quite an interesting history as its chassis number is very low and was used by MCN as a test/press bike. My question is it looks like straps have been used around the front fork upper tubes and have scored the surface, I can only guess it was transported in a van. The scores aren’t deep, you can just feel them with a fingernail. Any suggestions on how to remove the scratches, use a lathe and some emery paper was one idea I had. Depending on the result I may either re- anodise or ceramide them
