Been a doc member for a while but first time posting on the forum.
Replacing a broken shift return spring on my 1992 750ss. The manuals I’ve got (LT & Haynes) say to install the generator with Ducati stamp facing in. Mine was installed with it facing out (see photo).
Bike was running perfectly before so should I install it as it was or as per the manuals. Just wondering perhaps if this is a later generator where orientation doesn’t matter. Or is the orientation to do with the belville washer on the 900.
Any comments/help greatly appreciated.
