996 headlight query

I have an Italian import 996 2000 model.
Dipped beam goes right instead of left.
I seem to recall a blog advising that you can alter the deflector in the headlight to make it go the other way round. Is that possible? What steps do you need to take?
Or do you need to source a UK spec headlight unit and replace completely? (new units pricey and used like hen’s teeth!)

Hi Russ
You just need the UK direction deflector plate.
Once the headlight unit is removed from the bike it is a 10 minute job to change it.
Don’t know if they are still available from Ducati, if not search the internet.
If you or a mate are handy with metal work you should be able to make a reverse copy of the one you have.
