A question. On my 999 I’ve noticed that the clutch emits a low creak when setting off - Though not all the time. It doesn’t seem to behave erratically or anything however it’s a little offputting…
Thoughts?
Strip the clutch down and clean it, the dust build up some times causes the clutch to groan.

When I had the sidecar attached to my similarly clutched Monster, I regularly whipped it out, hoovered it out and reasembled it making sure I had turned the fibre plates round and moved them round a little every time. It only takes 10 mins, and after a years (extreamly hard use with a sidecar attached!) use the clutch showed no wear at all when measured with a micrometer.
