Darmah 17" wheels & Ohlins front & back?

Hi,

As title implies, I am in the process of building my Darmah as a modern alternative to original, you may ask why.

After seeing the Vee Two revival from Austrailia a seed had been planted many years back.

I have fitted Ohlins front forks from rsv1000r using modified ducati triple yolks with 3 spoke (851/888) front wheel. However the rear would have to be fitted in reverse direction !

This would then need to have the rear wheel slimmed down when using original swingarm, but it would still be a 3 spoke alloy.

I have fitted a KTM 690 smc r rear wire spoke but this will need to have sprocket hub slimmed (8mm) just not found an engineering shop willing to take it on.

However I look at it with 17” 3 spoke front and the 17” wire to rear I know i prefare the 17” wire spoke wheel option.

I have found that the option for Triumph Thruxton 1200r forks & wheel at front swop out, so looking into the availability of the front swop over.

My question is does anyone have experience or knowledge in regard to assisting in rear wheel, if I am unable to have KTM sprocket hub narrowed down (8mm) is it an option to have another swingarm fitted. Mine is the eccentric type mounted at the frame.

Any advise would be most welcome

Regards

Paul
