Ducati 600 Pantah information

Hello all, I am new to the forum but a lifelong biker, vapour blaster, classic collector, restorer and racer. I wanted to go up a class from my 500 Laverda from F3 to F2 so bought another 750 Lav that proved to be unsuitable and turned into a full resto. I recently bought a 600 Pantah that had race history in Oz and NZ. The guy I got it form has modified it extensively, but it is a mess so, yet another resto commences. Having a lot of Laverda experience including 1980’s electrical systems I was wondering what the electrics are like on these. I dont want a charging system but will retain the starter as I do on the Lav. Originally, I used a Boyer system which was crap, changed to Sachse then went Ignitech to give me a programmable system. Very good and reliable. I am stripping the bike at the minute and will build my own wiring set up. Race wiring is pretty simple, but I have a few questions. What are the resistors for? Which system works best on these engines, has anyone got a UK source for PO8 brake seals and dust covers, Brembo are being a pain to their own supply chain I am lead to beleive. I will be looking for a new tank as the old one was found to be leaking, I can see them online (fibreglass with level strip) why everything is so expensive for Dukes - I also own a 996S which I have had from new. Is there an age limit for new belts. I have spares that came with it but assume they are old; the bikes owner was quite seriously ill and has not used it for a number of year so the belts must be changed anyway. Any guidance welcome, I will be at Mallory on my Laverda this weekend so feel free to come and chat
