New 1299 Panigale and Multistrada 1200 S will make their Scottish debuts

Ducati will again attend this year’s Carole Nash MCN Scottish Motorcycle show to be held this weekend at The Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th March.

Ducati will be represented by Ducati Glasgow, Ducati UK’s premier Scottish dealer who will be displaying the latest 2015 Model range including the new Ducati Scrambler brand which will have its own dedicated stand.

The 1299 Panigale will take centre stage on the Ducati stand along with the Panigale R and 899 Panigale. The 1299 indulges its rider with technical innovation that includes cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, semi active suspension, engine braking control and quick shifter. These electronic aids help harness a 205hp superquadro engine and an incredible torque of 144.6nm in an overall package that has a dry weight of only 166.5kg.

Whilst the superbike range will draw an admiring crowd it will be the Multistrada that many will be talking about as first reports from this week’s press launch filter through. The Multistrada features many of the technical features of the 1299 Panigale with the addition of cornering headlights, sky hook suspension, Ducati Multimedia system as well as the new DVT (Ducati variable timing) engine - the first motorcycle engine with variable timing of both the intake and exhaust camshafts.

There will also be the new Monster 821, 1200 and 1200 S as well as the incredibly popular Diavel range and the Hypermotard and Hyperstrada which continue to be leading bikes in their sector.

If this wasn’t enough to get excited about visitors will also get possibly their first chance to see the new Ducati Scrambler in its Classic and Urban Enduro versions.

Ducati Glasgow staff will be on hand to offer sales advice, give technical information, book test rides or just pass on their boundless enthusiasm and passion for the brand.

Martin Rees, Managing Director of Ducati Glasgow commented, “We are delighted to be attending the Scottish Motorcycle Show again in conjunction with Ducati UK. For the last twelve years we have been exhibiting our latest products to Scotland’s public and this year is one of the most exciting. With the eagerly anticipated arrival of the new 1299 Panigale Superbike, we have the strongest model range to display plus of course the Ducati Scrambler which has taken the market by storm. There is plenty there to whet the appetites of the northern bikers, we’re really looking forward to being there to see their reaction.”

There will also be the opportunity to purchase the latest Ducati Apparel from the stand and see some of the latest accessories that Ducati has to offer.
