I Ducati Owners Club GB - Severn Valley Rally 2017 I
I What is it? I
It’s the clubs Spring weekend event in rural Shropshire, running from Friday morning until Sunday morning, a chance to meet up and socialise with other Ducati riders and enthusiasts, ride out on some great roads, sample good food and drink, and / or explore the Severn Valley Railway and lovely historic Shropshire.
I When is It? I
Friday 5th May until Sunday 7th May 2017
I Where is it? I
The Unicorn Inn, Hampton Loade, Chelmarsh, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV16 6BN,
Which is situated on the banks of the River Severn, with the Severn Valley steam railway running behind it svr.co.uk/
There is a station on this line at Hampton Loade about 100 yards away, and trains run north to the town of Bridgnorth, and south past the town of Bewdley to Kidderminster.
I How much is it? I
£20 per person which includes camping, Saturday nights two course meal, plus free tea & coffee all weekend in the clubs marquee.
I Where can I stay? I
The Unicorn has rooms for bed and breakfast, the camping on site is included in the ticket price, or if the Unicorn is full there are other B&B’s in the local area.
I Friday I
Arrive whenever you like, we are on site from first thing, the kettle will be on and the Unicorn is open for food all day
Friday night - Gather in the Unicorn for drinks, food and a general get together.
I Saturday I
Saturday morning – After a great breakfast at the Unicorn it’s a planned ride out around Shropshire’s picturesque villages, scenery and roads then lunch at a pub or similar.
Or you’re of course free to explore the Severn Valley Railway one of the UK best heritage steam railways, the historic Georgian market towns of Bridgnorth, Bewdley, or medieval towns of Shrewsbury or Ludlow, and also the industrial heritage museums of Ironbridge, plus an array of National Trust and English Heritage place to visit.
Saturday evening – 2 Course sitdown meal at the Unicorn, followed by trophies for best bikes etc.
I Sunday I
Sunday morning – Breakfast at the Unicorn and pack up for home, say our goodbye’s and head out for more of Shropshire’s great roads.
