Horsham Piazza Italia X - the last one!
25th March 2016
This is a great family day out. Authentic Italian food stalls, live music, Ferraris and some very tasty Italian motorcycles – both vintage and modern.
Italian motorbikes and scooters will be on show following a ride-in parade into and through the town centre.
Be there to experience true Italian passion!
In recent years a cavalcade of Italian marques has ridden in from West Chiltington – don’t miss your chance to be a part of this very special and successful event.
Italian bikes and scooters will be leaving Motori Di Marino for a 25 mile ride out through the Sussex countryside, visiting other villages within the District. The route will be flag-marked, but unescorted.
Bikes will regroup in near Horsham (fuel & facilities available nearby) before a midday parade through Horsham town centre.
All funds raised will go to local charities: Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, Kent / Surrey / Sussex Air Ambulance & Worthing Hospital Scanner Appeal – a minimum donation of £5.00 per bike is requested
Advance booking is essential to reserve a space in town centre, and unique bikes are required for the Catwalk, held in the Carfax during the morning.
If anyone is unsure of how to get to Motori Di Marino, Andy Welland will be at Box Hill (Ryka’s) car park around 8am and will be leading a group from there.
it was a 5:00am start and an all motorway ride there, but it was worth it, I had a nice day, good to meet some new Ducati and scooter owners, the Catwalk was fun, but missed the 4 Desmosedicis as they were behind me, which must have sounded fantastic, very wet well organised, thanks to Jilly, Sue & Kevin Parrish, Helen Vyse, and Paul Ingram, and the rest of the Sussex branch for all of their hard work.
Really pleased that you could take part in the Catwalk, Kevin, and had an enjoyable day. Great to see Chairman Martyn there, plus Natalee and Theo, and another DOC CoM member, Wayne Penman. The weather was perfect - if a little chilly to start with.
And my thanks too, to all who helped (Sussex branch), all at Motori Di Marino, and all those who took part, an incredible 200+. Not sure of how much money we raised yet though.
