I’m stuck on tour, in Parma, Italy, with a very hot V4 S that has blown all its coolant out! I suspect the dreaded water pump seal failure, but will have to wait for recovery tomorrow and a dealer that is closed until Mon 15:00 to even get it in. I anticipate at least a two day wait here before trying to hopefully catch up with the rest of my group.
Well, so far it took recovery 20 hours to pick up the bike, and it has sat in recovery yards for the last couple of days, not getting to a dealer for even a preliminary assessment. It looks like yet another foreign tour has been ruined by the reliability of the bike.

After intervention by Ducati HQ, the bike went to Ducati Reggio on Thu afternoon, where Jor and his team put ‘all hands to the (water) pump’ that night and Fri morning, and at 12:30 I left to ride 800 km over 8:30, and rejoin my group in France. Bravo Borgo Panigale!
