Idling

Hi guys, I have a 1995 Ducati 750ss that is running rough on idle, I’ve just had the carbs cleaned but that has made no difference, it runs perfectly at higher revs, any one got any ideas? :open_mouth:

Have you checked the pilot jet screws at the front of the float bowls, they need to be set at (I think) between 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 turns out.
Turn them in and then out to find the points at which the engine sounds worse, then set them mid way, the same on each carb.
Also check the balance between the carbs using a set of vacuum gauges and adjust with the screw which is buried between the carbs. you’ll need a long screwdriver.
