The three sealers for metal tanks that tend to come up with the most positive results on classic Ducati lists are:

http://www.kreemproducts.net/p-13-kreem-fuel-tank-liner-1-pint.aspx (or maybe it’s one of their other stronger products)
They’re supposed to stand up to the modern fuels that probably ate through your tank and can be found quick and easy on eBay.co.uk.
