Ref my previous post on this subject. I have fixed it. Now I am not being “assisted” by my three year old nephew I have taken the mirror off and see that it was quite easy.the spring had become slightly distorted at one end and slipped off the fixing. It was easy to reshape the spring in the vice, make up a little tool to pull it through and hook it all together.
