Hello, the bike is a 2013 model with just 8500 miles on the clock. I’ve had a running issue, at approximately 4000 rpm a massive flat spot developed. This then developed into a rough idle and stalling. After some research the most likely problem seemed to be leaking vacuum hoses. Bodywork, tank and air box removed and indeed one vacuum pipe split. Replaced with better quality pipes. While everything was apart I decided to change the fuel filter. Pump removed and the remains of a small pipe was found. New pump and filter installed. Bike starts and idles fine, revs up cleanly etc in the garage. The issue now is the fuel lines popped off when I first put it back together. So I’ve done a temporary fix just to get the bike running. I’ve not taken out on the road. Temporarily fix will be in the photo to follow. So, my question, is there a better alternative to the standard qr connections. Not confident in them at all. Apologies for the long winded post.
