New Member from Somerset

Hello Everyone,

I have recently joined the owners club to share some of the projects I have on the go and hopefully pick the brains of some of the collected wisdom here.

My name is Al, I turned 30 this year and unfortunately my father also passed away unexpectedly. He was a life long biker and I have been riding bicycles and motorcycles since I was old enough to walk, but have prioritised life and adventures over motorcycles most of my life until now. My brother and I have inherited a number of bikes, mostly in pieces, that belonged to my dad over the years.

Whilst I am back in somerset for the time being, my intention is to build a couple of them to remember him by.

In the garage at the moment, we have a 350 mk3 that is very near completion; my brother’s ST4 rebuild, also nearing completion; then an early MHR that was completely disassembled that I am getting stuck into at the moment, a roundcase 750gt that will be tackled eventually and an 860gts that may or may not just be parts for the MHR.

Beside these we have a couple of Moto Guzzis that actually get ridden and a shovelhead that I built while I was living in Canada and then had shipped back.

Lots of my time has been spent re-organising the garage, to get it to a place where we can get serious work done and also digging through boxes trying to work out which major components of anything we are missing. I’m now more or less ready to start the build of the MHR in earnest (where I can fit it in around work).

If you made it to the bottom, thanks for reading!
