Robert Dunlop dies at NW 200
LEGENDARY road racer Robert Dunlop has died following an accident at the North West 200.
The multiple TT winner died today (Thursday) after the crash during a practice at the event in Northern Ireland.
Dunlop, brother of 26 times TT winner Joey - who died in 2000 at a road race in Estonia - had won at the NW 200 many times.
The Press Association reported his bike appeared to seize at the Mathers Cross section of the course. He was rushed to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine, Co Londonderry, where he died from his injuries shortly after 10pm.
