After seeking a bevel MHR, buying one on eBay and then finding out (before I paid) it was not quite' as described (S2 with MHR Bits on and re-registered) that I ought to seek guidance from the experts on here before I committed so much money again! Any advice as to where I can buy areasonably’ priced item (or bevel 900SS) ?

Try Colwyn Bay Motorcycles. I was in there a couple of days ago and they had a good selection of older Ducatis and I’m sure there was a 900 SS in there looked in really good condition.
