I am looking to sell my 1977 500SD as I want to buy a Diavel and need to get rid of a couple of bikes first. I am open to sensible offers.
I bought it with the intention of doing a full restoration but have not done much to it, except get it running and fit new tyres, and it is just sitting at the back of the garage so would prefer it goes to a new home.
It had no documentation when I bought it so I had it dated and was informed it was 1977. First registration is 2010 which is when I imported it.
Complete and original except for the left hand side panel which is missing and the indicators which are non standard.
18789 kilometers on speedo and this is correct as far as I know.
Frame number - DM500B503049
Engine Number - DM500B1504279
Starts and runs albeit a bit lumpy so probably needs a bit of a tune up.
Tyres are almost brand new - done just 10 miles
It is currently registered in the Isle of Man but re-registering it in the UK is easy and I am willing to help if needed.
Registration number is a personal one on the Isle of Man so will be removed before it is sold.
I may be able to deliver to UK but that would be a separate discussion.
