Hi, just wondering if anyone has a Ducati Sports Classic 1000S around the year 2008 -2009, that could assist me with an accurate picture of the location of the VIN number. Without making this a long story, the bike was customised and the frame repainted by a Ducati dealership for the previous owner. I have all the provenance and have spoken to the dealership involved and its all legitimate , so I have no concerns that it isn’t the original frame. Is the VIN number on the righthand side of the headstock? The bike has passed previous MOT’s in England but as I live in Northern Ireland they are adamant about seeing the stamped VIN number on the frame; and so I will have to get down to the number under the paint…
