I was burned a couple of times with ‘good’ used centre stands. I bought a new pattern stand from Andrew at Mdina Italia. It came bare metal and weld quality is very good. Just paint or powder coat to suit your need. It doesn’t come with the little plastic plugs/stops to rest against the frame but these are available.

Thanks that is good information. So far I’ve only found one available in the US, it’s expensive and far from perfect. I do have the option of repairling mine but I will check out Mdina Italia.
